Sometech Introduces ‘4K 3D Surgical Microscope’ at Korean Ophthalmological Society Meeting

      2025-11-20

      Sometech (CEO Hee-bong Yang) participated

in the 114th Annual Meeting of the Korean Ophthalmological Society,

held over three days from January 14 to 16 at the Inspire Resort in Incheon,

where it introduced its 4K 3D surgical microscope, VOMS-400 OPH.

At the conference, Sometech showcased and demonstrated VOMS-400 OPH at its booth,

highlighting its innovative features specifically designed for ophthalmic surgery.

VOMS-400 OPH is a digital surgical microscope system that supports 4K resolution and

3D stereoscopic imaging. It projects the surgical field onto a large 4K monitor,

allowing medical professionals to clearly and deeply observe fine intraocular structures, including the lens, retina, and optic nerve, which are essential in procedures such

as cataract, retinal, and glaucoma surgeries.

The 3D stereoscopic view also enables precise perception of the depth and position

of surgical instruments, facilitating meticulous microsurgical manipulation.

This enhances the safety and success rates of delicate procedures by minimizing errors.

In addition, the system allows real-time sharing of 4K 3D surgical footage,

making it highly effective for specialist training and the dissemination of surgical techniques.

Sometech official stated, “The VOMS-400 OPH was developed to provide ophthalmic surgeons with the highest-quality visual solutions for delicate procedures,” adding,

“Based on the strong interest and positive feedback from ophthalmologists

at this conference, we plan to strengthen our market strategy to contribute

to the qualitative improvement of ophthalmic surgery in South Korea.”
